Gent – 17 January 2017
On 17 January 2017, Karl Raats was proclaimed to be the best Speaker of the Year 2016 in the Netherlands, in the category of Personal Efficacy. He was congratulated on this during his introduction at Mode Unie & Creamoda New Year’s event in Gent.
His speech during this conference had a challenging title: ‘the worst New Year’s resolutions for 2017’. He spoke very passionately about creative thinking, motivation, creating, communication and giving feedback. I felt very inspired by his talk and several passages from it stuck with me. One of them is the question: ‘Who can I be that would make you shine?’
After the event, I had the opportunity to personally congratulate him on his honorary title.
